Vehicle Traffic Patterns
The biggest challenge for Smart Cities is how to solve vehicle traffic overcrowding and improve safety driving. Traffic jams are a universal pain for everyone. Similarly, considering the foot traffic patterns, world’s population is expected to reach 9.7 billion in 2050 and two-thirds of these people will live in cities.
Hence, in the next 30 years the world’s cities will add another 2.5 billion people. 2016 shows that metros have the highest levels of walkable urbanism. Such growth will have an impact on the environment, on the city’s infrastructure and very much on the lives of the people who live within them. So, then, how will cities be prepared for such growth?
In order to help come up with the best application and infrastructure implementation, smart cities must launch the best technologies at a city level. The rapid development of connected technologies is allowing urban centers around the world to transform into smart cities.
